Seigokan Brasil launches its official website

Seigokan Brasil launches its official website today, seigokanbrasil.com.br. It is the home of the Brazilian organization of Seigokan, the Goju-ryu Karate-Do school founded by Seigo Tada in Kyoto in 1945 and led in Brazil by Shihan Leonardo Carion and Sensei Joetsu Narita.

What you will find

The site opens with five fronts:

• The school. The biography of Seigo Tada, the history of Seigokan and the lineage linking Chōjun Miyagi, Tada and the Brazilian senseis, all with cited sources.
• The technique. An introduction to Goju-ryu, the list of kata in the Seigokan curriculum and the Dojo-kun written by Tada, in the Japanese original and in translation.
• Where to train. The directory of affiliated dojos, with address, training times and contact for each.
• The calendar. Seigokan Brasil events: seminars, gradings, gasshuku and tournaments, with registration and an add-to-calendar option.
• Announcements. This news section, where the board publishes official announcements and affiliation confirmations.

Four languages

Everything is available in Portuguese, Spanish, English and Japanese. The Japanese version exists so that the Seigokan headquarters in Himeji and practitioners in Japan can follow what the school is doing in Brazil.

An invitation to dojos

Seigokan Brasil is bringing together the dojos and senseis who follow Seigo Tada's lineage. If yours is one of them, the Affiliate your dojo page explains who can join, what the organization offers and how to contact the board. Every dojo that confirms its affiliation gets a page in the directory and an announcement here in the news.

Welcome. 誠実・謙虚・不屈.
