How to affiliate your dojo with Seigokan Brasil

Seigokan Brasil is bringing together the dojos and senseis who follow Seigo Tada's lineage in Goju-ryu Karate-Do. This guide explains, briefly, how affiliation works. The full page, with the form, is Affiliate your dojo.

Who can affiliate

• Dojos and senseis who practice Goju-ryu in Seigo Tada's lineage and want to remain connected to the school he founded.
• Training groups without a formal dojo, led by an instructor graded within the lineage.
• Dojos from other Goju-ryu lineages interested in adopting the Seigokan curriculum, subject to a technical assessment by the board.

What Seigokan Brasil offers

Belonging. The dojo becomes part of the Brazilian organization of Seigokan, connected to the school's headquarters in Himeji, in Seigo Tada's direct lineage.

Technical training. Seminars, courses and gradings organized by Seigokan Brasil, following the kata curriculum and the school's technical criteria.

Directory and visibility. A page of its own in the directory of affiliated dojos, with address, training times and contact, plus an affiliation announcement in the news.

Brand and badge. The right to use the Seigokan Brasil name and logo alongside the dojo's name, per the brand guidelines, and the affiliated-dojo badge for the website and social media.

Training app. An app made for karateka: kihon, kata and each student’s progress tracked between classes.

Growth consulting. Direct support from Seigokan Brasil to help the dojo grow: its own website, presence on Google and social media, student acquisition and retention.

Partnerships. Special conditions with Seigokan Brasil’s partners for affiliated dojos and their students.

How it works

1. Fill in the form on the Affiliate your dojo page. It drafts a message to the board, which you send via WhatsApp or email. Nothing is stored on this site.
2. The board gets in touch to learn about the dojo, its chief instructor and everyone's training background.
3. Once affiliation is approved, the dojo joins the directory, receives the brand files and takes part in the Seigokan Brasil calendar.

Common questions

Do I have to rename my dojo? No. The dojo keeps its name and identity; what changes is that it may use the Seigokan Brasil brand alongside its own.

Is there a fee? The terms are explained by the board at first contact. No payment is made through this site.

I'm not a sensei, I just want to train. Then find the nearest affiliated dojo and contact it.
